Standards body and specification family for **agent interoperability** (Poslad & Charlton 2001, ref [39] in APM Manifesto). Defines agent communication languages, interaction protocols, and architectural components for multi-agent systems.

## Role in APM
Cited as one of the classical foundations underlying the unified specification schema for APM agents ([[sources/2026-calvanese-agentic-bpm-manifesto]], §2.2.2). Relevant to [[concepts/conversational-actionability]] as an alternative to modern protocols (MCP, ACP, TOON, KQML).
